According to the ECB statement, “Leach will work closely with the England and Somerset medical teams for his rehabilitation.”

As of now, England has not announced a replacement for Leach.

Nevertheless, the squad possesses a strong spin contingent, featuring Rehan Ahmed, Tom Hartley, and Shoaib Bashir, with the additional part-time option of Joe Root.

With the series currently level at 1-1 after England’s thrilling 28-run victory in Hyderabad and India’s comeback with a 106-run win in Visakhapatnam.

The absence of Leach adds an extra layer of challenge for England in the upcoming Tests.
